That William Branham was one of the most outstanding preachers of this century goes without saying. His ministry was humble, and he did not regard himself as a great preacher. However, the attraction that still rivets believers today to his Message is the special attention that God gave to vindicate his preaching. His preaching was simple, but profound, having a gift for explaining complicated doctrines in terms that a child could understand.

David E. Harrell writes that William Branham was one of the two great giants of the charismatic revivals of the 1940-50’s. He had amazing signs that the Lord had bestowed upon him, to discern sicknesses and diseases. 1

T L Osborn also pays tribute to this great man, as being the Evangelist that inspired his healing ministry, by giving Osborn the understanding of the nature of how to pray against demonic spirits. 2

The outstanding feature of his ministry was the commission that was given him in 1933 by the Angel of the Lord.
"As John the Baptist forerun the first coming of Christ his ministry was to forerun the Second Coming."3

… He said, "when I baptized right down here on the Ohio River, many of you was standing there, twenty-three years ago, right on the Ohio River that Light, Angel, come right down to where we was at, and said, "As John the Baptist was sent for a forerunner of the first coming of Jesus Christ, your Message will bring the second coming of Jesus Christ." And it's done it."

Listen, as William Branham creates an imaginary court room scene, calling witnesses from the scriptures to testify of their faith in God. However, the last witness is the Holy Spirit Himself, and this is where the imaginary stops, and God takes the stage in person.

"Surely this was a man upon whom rested the Spirit of Elijah. God has raised up many fine ministries in our generation, but who can compare with this man’s ministry; a ministry that I wish to share with you today".
